Here we are in August again – the month when many of us head off on holiday with our families. This is ...
Helping you take control
All too often, fear and anxiety block our understanding of why we are like we are. My work over the past 25 years has been about helping people make better sense of themselves and their world.
In the course of a rich and varied career, I have become widely known and respected as an authority in my field, providing regular relationship and health advice on TV, radio and in the press.
At my Hertfordshire and Harley St consulting rooms, people come to me with any of a wide range of problems, from relationship issues, bereavement, post traumatic stress and work related problems to phobias, anxiety and depression. In everything I do, confidentiality is absolutely paramount.
I have particular expertise and experience in these areas:
- Children & young people
- Couples and marriage guidance counselling
- Drug and Alcohol counselling
- Issues specific to the legal profession
Contact me today to find out more about how I can help.
A lot of my work has a short term focus, typically between 5 and 10 sessions, but this varies greatly according to need, as does the type of treatment – hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, CBT or any combination of these. In every situation, I provide advice to help develop insights to enable the client to understand why and what has happened so that they can take control of the present, and the future.
I am a fully trained drug and alcohol counsellor and I served for three years as a member of the Executive Management Committee for Drug Care in St Albans. I am PCI DSS compliant and an accredited member of:
- The National Council for Hypnotherapy
- The Counselling & Psychotherapy Society
- The College of Advanced Hypnotherapy
- The National Hypnotherapy Society
